Good Friday

The Friday before Easter is called Good Friday. This is the day that Jesus Christ died on the cross for us. Some Catholics in New Orleans, like myself, visit nine churches to reflect on Jesus’s journey carrying his cross to his death. Most people walk to the nine churches in New Orleans because they are so close together. My family and I drive to the nine churches because my grandparents cannot walk for that long. Even though I do not walk the nine churches, I still reflect through the praying at each church as well as fasting. It is a good experience and New Orleans tradition, and I encourage you to try it one year.
