Jesuits

Sometimes interchangeable with the Catholic faith in general, Jesuits are actually just a small group within the Roman Catholic Church. The Society of Jesus, as they are known officially, is a Christian male religious order of the Roman Catholic Church. The Jesuits are sometimes called 'God's Soldiers' in reference to founder St. Ignatius of Loyola's military background. The Society was formed in 1540 and is still alive and flourishing to this day. The Jesuits were founded with a mission to to follow in the steps of Jesus Christ and go out of their to see that vision through. They are willing to put themselves in the most deprived conditions to help other in need of help. Jesuits are also known for being promoters of social justice and education.
