More About the Babydolls

For those of you who missed the talk on Monday Here is a link to the Baby Dolls website. The speakers explained the origin and cultural aspects of their group.

Starting as a Carnival Club for African Americans, the Baby Dolls were the first women street maskers. They get their name because they would dress up like babydolls. What this information page does not talk about it how they would dress up like baby dolls because due to the fact they didn't have baby dolls themselves.
